Trina -
Getting self conscious when a cap is no longer on your heel. I'm trying to to think of something to compare that to for a man. If I haven't shaved my neck when I have that three day sexy Miami Vice facial hair going on, maybe that's the equivalent, since it's an expression of singledom, very temporary, and easily remedied, except if you can't go home when it happens. I admire your journey from another state and your adventure thus far. If you'd like to share your insight from a non-Texan, and now Dallasite, I'd love to hear any ideas you have from your perspective. I'm the recent co-founder of www.Iliveindallas.com. It's not a new site, but a new title. Send me an email if you are interested in expanding your network by being our guest as a poster and sharing your voice.

Hey Holly! Thanks for commenting!! I've heard great things about Kenneth Cole shoes. I'll check them out--I believe they sell the shoes at their outlet stores which may be a thrifty option...

I have some Kenneth Cole ones that I wear several times a week and they still look like new after a good 2 years. They are amazing.

I also have a pair from Nine West, which I repaired for that exact same problem. I wear them frequently, as well, and they are still going after a good 3 years, but I have to say the leather has lost some of its original shape and they don't look as nice as they once did.

Yay! I'm glad I inspired you to have a delicious cup of coffee.
I popped over to your blog and saw the Charlie Kelly dancing montage. I was almost in tears--he is my favorite.
