I have seen Topanga on the The Dish before, and it's pretty funny. I don't know what it is about those shows, but I love them!

My treat this summer has been laying by the pool, reading a bit and enjoying the Texas sunshine. :)

I really think carving out time for your personal interests is a crucial part of learning balance in your life. I go a bit batty when I don't treat myself...and that's no good for anyone :) I can tell in my overall mood when I need to take time for myself. It's all about staying balanced and sane!

Substitute staring at food in a supermarket for curling up to read for hours on the couch and probably a little less on the cooking thing and this is SO my list. Right down to The Soup! Have you seen The Dish with Topanga from Boy Meets World (I know she has a "real" name...I think it's Danielle.) Similar and also highly entertaining!

I think you have hit the nail right on the head. It doesn't matter if you are working 90 hours a week or 3 hours, living in one place or doing a certain thing - if you are not carving out time in your own life to do the things you love then you are going to be miserable in all respects.
